Famouse photographer and artist Nick Waplington came too our school too give a presentation, speaking about his photographs from his earliest works, too his newest. He spoke in depth about why he took the photographs and how he took them, giving me a greater understanding of what its like being a photographer, and how too improve on my own photography.
Personally, I enjoyed it the most when he was talking about some of his earlier works which include black and white street photography of things he saw going about his daily life, from photos of police at protests, too people dancing at partys he attended, all opf which I beleive is brilliant photography from when he was just a teenager with a camera and some film. I liked these photographs the most because too me they were the most interesting, seeing his talent from such a young age, and hearing him talk through the backgrounds of these works. Regarding these works he spoke too us about taking photos of everything, friends, people from school, cars, anything; he said that these photos might not seem interesting to you or anyone else now, but give them time and the older they get, the more interesting which from his work I could agree with, and I actually found this quite inspiring.

During his visit he was taking questions on his work from our school about early inspirations, what he enjoys, what he dosnt, and I actually got too ask him a question about his editing post production. He told me that editing too him was one of the most important steps, cropping down, enhancing clours, he encouraged us too get used too editing and become good at it earlier rather than later as it would mean being able too take a photo that maybe your not so happy with and making it better, learnig what too keep in a photo, and what too leave out.
